Re: 67-77 THOUSAND JOBS

If i'm being honest, there's not much from the last 100 years of government that I want more of, let alone the last four years. And therein lies the rub. People labor under the delusion.. and that's what it is.. a delusion.. that all their woes are due to the current sitting president, and that brin...

Re: 67-77 THOUSAND JOBS

Small business owners that have company vehicles pay plenty for automotive insurance, liability insurance, and workers compensation.. by law. Where are your cries of condemnation for those forced insurances eroding your bottom line? Now when it comes to HEALTH insurance, the REAL cost to taxpayers (...

Re: 67-77 THOUSAND JOBS

<RANT> Every election cycle you have one camp or the other crying about how crappy things are, and THEIR candidate is going to be the magic bullet to solve all our perceived woes. Political candidates are pawns of their corporate sponsors.. and will continue to be until there is some serious campaig...

Re: 67-77 THOUSAND JOBS

A quick google search for "jobs created in april" returns multiple reputable sources (nytimes.com, cnbc.com, etc) reporting 115,000 jobs created in April. A similar search for the month of May returns a much lower number: 69,000 jobs created, nationwide, for the month of May. But what's more depress...

Re: FCC rules for drinking on the air?

Growing up in Radio & Television stations in the late 70's and early 80's, I remember my father saying a time or two in passing that alcohol and firearms were not permitted on station property.. but he might have just been saying that to dissuade the local hill folk from bringing their guns (or thei...

Re: A New Low on "Job Openings"

There are all kinds of assertions as to what is "legal" or "illegal" in regards to pay rate, but I can tell you when it comes to issues, there isn't exactly anyone you can call. I knew a girl who took a job in an office generating and following up on leads for a moderate sized company. After about a...

Re: If I'm selling purses and cabinets can my post stay?

I've occasionally had trouble posting.. seems like sometimes I have to click "preview" and then "submit".. simply clicking "submit" just dumps me off at the thread listing page and my submission is lost.

Pay "comparable" to the market..

That seems to suggest there is, somewhere in the deep recesses of the Great Tome of Radio Knowledge, a handy reference chart outlining what one might expect to earn in each market. </SARCASM> Maybe we should post our markets and our pay in one neat and tidy thread? I'll start: Out in the sticks, tal...

I think I read somewhere that Dick Clark was also addicted to midget porn.
