Re: Are OLDIES really bad (dead)?

You may want to watch the time frame of a song (like the Big Band songs of the 30's) but anything from 1960 should have an audience. Our station has a Sat. morning show which plays 1950's songs. and I don't think anybody really listens. We can't sell the show and I think the owner allows the show be...

Re: Jingles

Come to think of it, I can't remember the last jingle I heard. I remember as a kid, we would sing the McDonalds jingle to give a hint to our parents and our H.S. band would play the Budweiser jingle at games.

I can't name a jingle to save my tail.

Re: And The Kid Said....

I had the same problem at wally world. Which tells me the current laws are so out of date. Stations have to carry EBS systems, but stores don't sell radios for people a home to listen to.

At my house I bought a Black and Decker radio to listen to from home depot. LOL

Re: Need Help Switching Format

I have sort of the same problem. The show before mine is a "forgotten hit's of the 1950 and before country" which is done by a guy who's in his 80's. Completely makes my body fall asleep. Of course he ask me trivia questions of the song and bugs the hell out of me. I tell him anything before the Bee...

Re: Does anyone screen these ads?

Spam post (like your talking about) are done by people or machine to create traffic to a website. You can include spam emails to this idea. Years ago, google ranked a website based on the amount of people that came to your site. Which meant you go top of the list posting when searching for certain t...

Re: good equipment for remote setup

Since I'm in a rural area where you only have cell phones available for high school F.B. games, we use the cheapest crap we could buy. (no I can't remember the name of it) Does it sound great? No. But it works. If your going for quality in sound, you will lay out some bucks to achieve this. Plus you...

Re: good equipment for remote setup

What do you plan to do? Sports events? interviews? If it just a commentator at a sports event with no interview, a cheap system that plugs into a cell phone works.

Re: Artist Photos in FB Ads

When you do an ad on FB, they review it before they allow it to be ran. Make your ad up and submit it. If there is a problem, they will tell you and refuse to run it.

Re: Do people really listen to internet radio station

I have a friend who tried the "streaming radio broadcast" thing and after 1 year, he sold the website to another company at a lost. His biggest problem was: getting people to listen. (I think it was bad website design and poor management.) Since I was one of many who said this idea isn't going to wo...
