Taylor Swift Overexposed??

I've gotta this off my mind, but honestly I think we're gonna watch a slow train wreck here. This girl is on the cover of every newsstand, winning awards right and left, and is a hot target for the internet. We've all seen what happened to Britney back in the day when this happened and Lady Gaga just being exposed! There is only so much spotlight a person can take before going crazy and at such a young age.

Listen to the lyrics of Fifteen. It's every young woman's life. This song will be on every A/C and CHR station after the holidays.

As far as Taylor Swift being overexposed. Taylor has a much better head on your shoulders than either Britney or Lady Gaga. How she handled herself at the award shows and the Kanye mess is proof of that. Taylor will be just fine.

I hear Fifteen a lot on KYKY here in STL, and on VH1, MTV, MTVH. MUCH better than Love Story.

I gotta agree with Daver - Taylor will be fine. She's already proven to be much more poised than Britney and her music has obvious mass appeal. Which, IMO, is the key to a good top40. I think it's time she was considered a format-defying artist rather than a "country" artist.
As far as the comparison to Lady Gaga - I can't agree. Lady Gaga may go away, but it'll be because SHE moves on, not because she'll lose her appeal to audiences in her current incarnation. Since her whole persona is based on performance art, the art will change, and so will she. So will the music. I think if she chooses to maintain a tie to mainstream music she will and we'll be hearing her for a long time to come. If not, we won't.

I have to get this off my chest... Taylor Swift is extremely over-exposed. And what bothers me the most is that everybody treats her like she is 12. She is 20 and had a 17-year old boyfriend and hangs out with the 15-year old Disney stars. I think something is wrong with her. She is very sweet but it's time to grow up a bit. Granted, 20 is still young but at least act your age. I know I am swaying away from the actual topic but that just needed out once and for all!

Yeah...part of me feels sorry for an artist who is on top of the world at such a young age. Then another part of me says..."Not So Much!"

Taylor is WAY overexposed. I don't know if we can really blame her for all of it, but she's on every single station in my market, minus the rock station. I can tell you this, she is absolutely no longer country. There's not even a way to pretend that she is.

Agreed.
