Banned from AllAccess Facebook page

Post by KOOL Listener Lauren » Fri Jan 10, 2014 6:53 pm

It was several months ago, but I actually got BANNED from the AllAccess Facebook page (which is a first for me for anything!!). It was all because of a post sharing some radio guy's "ugliest people in radio" or something like that, and I commented "how horrible."

Yes, how horrible to call people ugly. Face it, that stuff affects most of us.

Anyways, my comment remained but I got banned. I can't comment or like anything they post. I emailed AllAccess asking how that could be, and never got a response.

How do I go about getting un-banned??

Lauren, you should be fine as long as you confine your posts to new cabinets, childish online fantasy games and advertising your own business here on a site meant for radio broadcasters to discuss the industry. (such as it is these days)

Glad I could help.

Hello KOOL Listener Lauren ...

All Access does not ban anyone from its page. Something that does happen that Facebook users are not aware of is that banning typically comes from the fans of the Facebook page.

If a person (poster) gets too many complaints over time, Facebook's code actually removes that person's ability to post. It's not even an actual person from Facebook doing it. It's all code. You get too many complaints over time, the code removes your privilege.

This is not to imply that you were inappropriate. This has all to do with how the All Access Facebook fans (community) perceived you over time.

We have contacted Facebook to ask how someone who has been "banned" can ever post again. We just don't have that answer. But what we do know as a brand on Facebook - these are Facebook rules, not ours. One of the downfalls of using a platform we don't control.

Hope that helps -- Joel Denver

And Lauren ...

I found the mechanism to "unban" you from www.facebook.com/all.access ... so you are good to go to post again.

Thanks -- Joel
