90.7FM getting a boost!

Within the past week, WFUV 90.7 FM switched on a second booster transmitter. Running 2,500 watts from a building on 31 street, it is supposed to enhance reception in lower Manhattan, and parts of Brooklyn.
Has anyone noticed a better signal for this station? Are there still areas in New York where they are tough to receive?
In addition, 'FUV has stated they are planning to build a translator near Beacon, NY, to provide a better signal in that part of the Hudson valley.
