Do podcasts make money??

Do podcasts really make money?? Just wanted to get a little insight on this.

I've seen several that are subscription based. They give away a few shows a week but to get access to their full archive and hear all their shows throughout the week you need to be a subscriber.
They also do videos as well which are put together for the subscribers.

Some do, most don't. Depends on a lot of factors.
